Random Questions

The response I got when I put the buttermilk question out there got me to thinking....What other random questions can I get answered by putting things out into our blog world?
So I thought I would devote one day a week to getting all of the mysteries in my life solved.
So today's Random Question is......
"Why do my armpits get itchy when I breastfeed?"
Not the prettiest question I know but still something that puzzles me every single time. Oh, and yes I do wash regularly...
Does anybody know?

I can't help you there. I would tend to think that your milk ducts reach all the way back there or something. I envy people who get any sort of feeling when breastfeeding. I never had the letdown feeling, or the knowing when your baby needs to feed (or you are going to explode) type thing. Nada on the boobs letting me know anything! The nipples hurt for a while, but that was it. I wasn't worried about whether Isabel was getting enough, though. She was a CHUBBA!

I too am pretty sure that is has something to do with the milk ducts in your arm pits and because there is no way for them to release the milk it creates an itchyness. Might be an old wives tale...maybe google it??

I've done a lot of breastfeeding in my time, but haven't had itchy armpits - I'm thinking though it might be because it's just God having a laugh... watching you juggle the bub and have a scratch... another of life's mysteries...

Ha!
No idea.

Harps sleep is getting better too, cutting some teeth, so i'll just blame them if things get bad again! And wow, feeding every hour! I would go insane, especially with the itchy arm pits!
