Mary Valley Cup - a great weekend of Polo

I have just returned for an awesome weekend at the polo. Danny played in the Mary Valley Cup which ran over the two days of the weekend and we camped the night at the grounds. Three awesome things happened this weekend...
(1) Danny's team won the final and he scored an awesome goal
(2) I have found a new appreciation for polo and really enjoyed learning and getting to know the game - now I just want to watch more!

(3) I really really enjoyed camping!
Now the last point is perhaps the most amazing thing ever. I have always hated the idea of camping but it was such a relaxing experience. We camped with friends who had the fire sorted and a billy so I didn't miss out on my cups of tea. We had a little bbq and I took up so much food. All weekend we watched polo and drank wine and ate. Perfect!!
Here are some photos from the weekend....

That's Danny playing on Saturday - those were his two Stick Chicks,
Kate & Celine.

Our camp - check out the yellow and orange candles and
the wine glass on the hay bale. Best campsite ever!

That was the amazing blanket of fog we woke up to this morning.
It wasn't as cold as it looks.
Those are pictures of Danny treating Angus's horse and
Skipper playing with her friend on the field.

The fog didn't lift until around 9:30am and when it did it revealed the most beautiful hot day (I have the sunburn to prove it!)

And the winners are.... Danny's team!!!

Good job honey!!

Maree Rose just wanted to pop over and say thank you for doing me the honour of following my blog. Love your weekend photos - our younger kids woulld love to go camping but daisydad and I have done our fair share of swag n stove adveentures so my idea of camping these days is a three star hotel instead of a four!!!LOL Still your campsite looked most civilised and comfortable and certainly then place to be over that glorious weekend.
